In Episode 7 Jason is joined by Vishnu Pillai @vishyfbaby to discuss their week long Italian adventure together celebrating their 10 year anniversary of studying abroad in Florence with NYU in 2007. Shout out to Ravi Nanwani @ravinyc who recorded a previous pod with us that could not be posted because of the sound quality. They start their journey at a classic Italian pizzeria Caffe Italino Pizzeria (2:00), followed by a late night gelato snack at Vivoli (5:20). The next day they get flustered at a Fiorentina soccer game (8:10) and reward themselves after the Viola victory at Badiani Gelato (12:39). They cap off the night at a cool tequila cocktail lounge, Mad Souls & Spirits (13:20). Ravi joins the boys on Monday and they attempt to go to NYU but get rejected. They mourn by going to their old favorite sandwich bar, Bar Lydia (15:45), for lunch and then hit the all time Florence classic, La Giostra (18:52) for dinner. Tuesday (Jason's Birthday) they head to Ravenna and Modena, where they get a piadina for lunch (31:30) in Ravenna and then head to the culinary highlight of the trip, Franceschetta 58 (33:30) in Modena. Wednesday they get into NYU's La Pietra and see an old friend, Fernando (44:00). In the afternoon they went to the relaxing Mago Merlino tea shop (47:30) followed by dinner at 4 Leoni (49:00) and gelato at La Carraia (51:20). Thursday morning Jason & Vishnu say goodbye to Ravi and head to Rome. Friday they visit Pizzarium for lunch (55:35), followed by two gelaterias: Giolitti (58:40) and Gelateria Fassi (1:01:00). They cap their trip at a one Michelin Star restaurant, Per Me (1:04:10). They end the pod with the best things they ate in Italy (1:12:00).
